When you look at it carefully and for a long time, your imagination takes you to higher realms, where Angels live. I compare rose petals with Angels' clothes, weightless and delicate. Depicting a rose in a painting, I unwillingly imagine the higher realms which exist in our fantasies. In the picture you are able to create the sensation of sleep, consciously modelling it. And this state of dreaming I have captured on the canvas.
